Curtain Players patrons generously donated $425 to the community theatre’s Audience Choice Awards program during the March 24-April 9 run of Rabbit Hole.
After five shows, the current season’s tally for this fundraising initiative is $2022.06. In comparison, the 2015-16 Audience Choice Awards program generated approximately $1500 over the run of six productions.
Money from this long-running annual fundraiser is designated for routine maintenance and improvement expenses at the Harlem Road playhouse. At each Curtain Players performance, audience members are invited to make a donation to the theatre in the name of a cast member. Actors from each cast — in whose names the most money was donated — receives the Audience Choice Award at the annual season-end event.
