Curtain Players completes its 54th production year with its annual season-end celebration. This year’s happening is set for Sunday evening June 25 at The Old Bag of Nails in Uptown Westerville.

The party is to run from 6 to 8:30 PM and features appetizers and a cash bar. There is no cover charge.

Heather Schultz, Debb Miller, Wendy Brinker, and Sarah Merkey are organizing the event, open to Curtain Players members and invited guests. Membership is defined by documented participation in Curtain Players productions (casts and crews) or volunteer initiatives (such as committee work, Set Build Saturdays, and house staff teams), or by making a donation (such as to the ongoing Legacy & Renew campaign) during the 2016-2017 program year.

Invitations will be sent and more event details will be announced in coming weeks, but the party program is expected to include the announcement of the Volunteer of the Year Award as well as other recognitions, including recipients of Audience Choice Awards for Season 54’s six productions: The Importance of Being Earnest; The Diary of Anne Frank; Anne of Green Gables; Five Women Wearing the Same Dress; Rabbit Hole; and Trevor. There will be a preview of the 2017-18 season, number 55 for the community theatre company. And newly elected board of directors – voted upon at the annual membership meeting Tuesday May 23 – are to take their ceremonial oaths of office.
