Annual Theatre Work Day June 17

Curtain Players has scheduled its annual summer cleanup day at the 5691 Harlem Road (Galena OH 43021) playhouse. Volunteers should be ready to go Saturday June 17 at 9 AM.

Work will continue into the late afternoon, and volunteers are welcome to come and go as they can. The theatre will arrange for a free pizza lunch.

Technical Booth Muller in making the announcement jokingly referred to the event as the official Clean-Up Shed-Straightening & Equipment Maintenance Work Day.

Muller explained the acronym makes it CUSS’EM Work Day and he said, “There might be moments when that thought occurs to you as you look at the messy conditions that have been left by some of your fellow Curtain Players volunteers in the course of the past 12 months!

“Realistically, though, it took a full year to get that bad, and the truth is that many of us helped to create the mess,” Muller laughed. “Oh, heck, it really isn’t that bad. A little straightening and cleaning. It’ll be easy.”

The effort guarantees a fresh start for the 2017-18 season, the community theatre’s 55th.

To best plan for an efficient day, volunteers should register attendance with Muller at tech.director@curtainplayers.org
