No Set Build Saturday Call for 'Wendy'

Curtain Players has announced there will be no Set Build Saturday volunteer call for Wendy Darling.

Construction supervisor Neil Aring said building the production’s set – designed by director Heather Schultz – can be adequately addressed by himself and several members of the creative team.

Curtain Players routinely schedules Set Build Saturdays as open volunteer events approximately three to four weeks ahead of the opening performance weekend. Theatre leadership had held Saturday August 12 for the Wendy Darling build.

Set Build Saturdays remain on the theatre calendar for other shows throughout the season.

There remains a need for design and technical assistance for Curtain Players productions for the 2017-18 program year. Interested individuals may contact Booth Muller, the theatre’s technical director, at tech.director@curtainplayers.org to match interests and skills sets with available positions.

Wendy Darling opens the community theatre’s company 55th season with performances September 8-24. Wendy Darling is a brand new script by New York playwright Ira Hauptman receiving its first-ever fully staged production with Curtain Players. In this darkly comic version of the Peter Pan story, Wendy's mother sets in motion a journey that threatens to change her family forever. This is not a story for children and is suggested for audiences ages 13 and older.

Tickets for Wendy Darling go on sale August 1 along with Curtain Players season subscriptions, flex passes, and individual tickets to all six main stage productions.
