Curtain Players reminds the central Ohio theatre community of its open audition... for its February staging of Lettice and Lovage by Peter Shaffer.

The audition session is scheduled for Sunday November 19 (registration at 6:30 PM, tryout at 7) at the 5691 Harlem Road (Galena OH 43021) playhouse.

Click here for details, including character descriptions. Lettice and Lovage is described as warm and charming comedy from the author of Amadeus and Equus about a flamboyant tour guide consigned to the "dullest castle in England" who embellishes its history until she is confronted by her fact-conscious boss.

Hal Houston directs this production, set for performances February 9-25. New to Curtain Players, this is Houston’s first Columbus area production, coming here with a BA in Theatre Directing from California State University, Long Beach, and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of San Francisco. He has more than 30 years experience in acting and directing, with his favorite productions so far being The Sound of Music and Sweeney Todd.

Curtain Players conducts open auditions. Roles are not cast in advance. Actors are encouraged to be familiar with the script. Resumes and head shots are helpful.
