Curtain Players patrons generously donated $217 to the community theatre’s Audience Choice Awards program during the October 20-November 5 run of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
Money from this long-running fundraiser is designated for routine maintenance and improvement expenses at the Harlem Road playhouse. At each Curtain Players performance, audience members are invited to make a donation to the theatre in the name of a cast member. Actors from each of the season’s six productions — in whose names the most money was donated — receive the Audience Choice Awards at the annual season-end event.
The 2016-17 Audience Choice Awards program generated approximately $2200. To date, this season's take totals $482.16.
