Watson's/Curtain Floral Fundraiser Blooms

A local family farm is generously sponsoring a floral fundraiser to benefit Curtain Players this holiday season.

Sunbury-based Watson’s Acres is selling paperwhite centerpieces to give as gifts or to add a festive air to the home.

Molly and Brent Watson are proprietors of the farm. Molly Watson is a veteran Curtain Players volunteer who has worked on hospitality teams, as a stage manager and technician, and actor. Her onstage credits include The Diary of Anne Frank, The Skin of Our Teeth, and Pack of Lies.

The three paperwhites bulbs are growing hydroponically in a glass vase decorated with holiday-colored glass marbles. The paperwhites will be flowering or just about to flower – bringing an extra touch of natural beauty and a delightful fragrance to any home.  The flowers are fresh, locally grown on the Watson family farm using sustainable, organic practices. Watson’s Acres is contributing one-third of each arrangement’s $30 purchase price to Curtain Players.

Click here to order. On the special Watson's Acres/Curtain Players page, customers can place their paperwhites orders and enter contact/billing information. Then, they select a pick-up option. Watson’s Acres will be at the Curtain Players playhouse at 5691 Harlem Road (Galena 43021) to distribute flowers on Sunday December 10 between 3:30-6 PM (following the Crimes of the Heart matinee). Customers too may request a pick-up day/time at the Watson’s Acres farm, 5929 Fredricks Road (Sunbury 43074), just north of the town.
