The Delaware County Foundation has generously awarded a grant to Curtain Players for a third year in a row.

This year’s grant includes two awards. The first is a $2,500 investment to help finance capital improvements to the Harlem Road playhouse. The grant will be used to renovate the rest rooms. An additional $1,000 was given to support production expenses for the second half of the community theatre company’s 2017-2018 season. That includes the three shows, Lettice and Lovage, The Trip to Bountiful, and Exit the King.

This year’s grant is the largest the theatre has received.

Denise Dumouchelle prepared the Curtain Players proposal that was submitted in late summer. Following a site visit to the theatre in October, the Foundation’s Board of Directors approved the grant in December.

The Delaware County Foundation connects the needs of the community with charitable giving. It manages more than 135 charitable funds that support grants and scholarships throughout Delaware County.
