'Albee Fest' Pared to a Pair

Curtain Players has had to make a last-minute change in schedule for its Simply Staged: Albee Fest readers theatre event this week.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Friday January 12 presentation of Everything in the Garden from The Tipping Point Theatre Company has been cancelled.

Curtain Players welcomes Actors’ Theatre of Columbus to present this special readers theatre event featuring a pair of works by American playwright Edward Albee. Curtain time is 8 o’clock Thursday January 11 and Saturday January 13 at the 5691 Harlem Road playhouse (Galena OH 43021)

Actors' Theatre will present a staged reading of Edward Albee's Seascape on Thursday January 11; and Curtain Players will follow suit with Albee's A Delicate Balance on Saturday January 13.

Tickets will be sold at the door, also at a pay-what-you-want price.

"We appreciate everyone's understanding in this last minute change of events," Curtain Players said in a statement. "We thank Tipping Point for being a partner in this project's genesis and will miss their talents on Friday. We invite those who were coming to the playhouse on Friday to join us on Thursday and Saturday to hear two of Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winning plays."
