The Curtain Players Lettice and Lovage cast and creatives are in the Harlem Road playhouse working toward a February 9 opening night.
A warm and charming comedy from the author of Amadeus and Equus, Peter Shaffer’s Lettice and Lovage tells the tale of flamboyant tour guide Lettice Douffet, consigned to the “dullest castle in England” who embellishes its history… until she is confronted by her fact-conscious boss Lotte Schoen.
The cast includes Mony Carpenter and Bronwynn Hopton as Lettice and Lotte, respectively. They are joined on stage by Sharifa Andrews as Miss Framer/Tourist; Cory Baker as Mr. Bardolph/Tourist; Jeff Kemeter as Surly Man/Tourist, and Jackie Herrera Salvador as Tourist.
Director Hal Houston has assembled a team of designers and technicians: Wendy Brinker, stage manager; Drew Washburn, set designer and construction supervisor; John Maassel, lighting design and board operator; Ruth Luketic, sound designer and board operator; Mary Benge, properties coordinator; Patrick Bryant, costume designer; and Joyce Leahy, costumer. Booth Muller is producer. Heather Schultz is artistic adviser.
Curtain Players presents Lettice and Lovage at 8 PM Fridays and Saturdays February 9-10, 16-17, 23-24 and 2 PM Sundays February 18 and 25 at the 5691 Harlem Road playhouse.
