Talk Back After Feb 18 'L&L' Matinee

Posted: Sunday, February 11, 2018, 5:36am

Curtain Players continues its Curtain Panels audience talkback program following the 2 PM Sunday February 18 performance of Lettice and Lovage. Director Hal Houston, the cast, and available creative/technical team members will meet with the audience following the show to discuss the script and the production.

Tickets for Lettice and Lovage are available on this website. Click here. Performances continue 8 PM Fridays and Saturdays February 16-17 and 23-24; and 2 PM Sundays February 18 and 25.

A warm and charming comedy from the author of Amadeus and Equus, Peter Shaffer’s Lettice and Lovage tells the tale of flamboyant tour guide Lettice Douffet, consigned to the “dullest castle in England” who embellishes its history… until she is confronted by her fact-conscious boss Lotte Schoen.

Following one performance in each Curtain Players production’s run — usually the first Sunday matinee — the director, actors, and available designers and technicians gather on stage for a question-and-answer session with the audience. This is an opportunity for an informal conversation about such topics as a play’s subject matter, the challenge of staging the production, a director’s choices and vision, technical and behind-the-scenes design work, and how actors prepare for their roles.

Formally established in 2010, Curtain Panels is one of ongoing initiatives Curtain Players has developed to increase audience appreciation of and engagement in the organization and its productions, and more broadly, with theatre arts no matter the stage.
