The Curtain Players cast and creatives are in rehearsal for Charlotte’s Web, preparing for a June 14 opening night in Westerville’s Alum Creek Park North amphitheater.

Curtain Players and the City of Westerville’s Parks and Recreation Department are presenting Charlotte’s Web. The script is by Joseph Robinette, adapted from the enduringly popular E.B. White novel about a pig named Wilbur and his friendship with Fern Arable, the little girl who adopts him, and his barnyard friends but most importantly, Charlotte the spider.

Six free outdoor Charlotte’s Web performances are scheduled for 7:30 PM Thursdays-Saturdays June 14-16 and 21-23. (Donations are welcome.)

Director Keely Kurtas-Chapman leads the actors: Halli Ackley (as Narrator One/Photographer/Spectator); Ashton Boyd (Gander); Liz Bratt (Young Wilbur/Chick); Mia Doron (Narrator Two/Spectator); Sarah Gainey (Narrator Three/Uncle/Reporter); Dan Griscom (John Arable/Judge); Kate Hawthorne (Sheep/Announcer/Judge); Alicia Hoffman (Charlotte); Kate Hofmann (Lamb); Mackenzie Joseph (Wilbur); Courtney Lingnofski (Martha Arable); Mia Lingnofski (Fern); Ryan Long (Edith Zuckerman); Tony Ludovico (Homer Zuckerman/Judge); Rosalyn Makofsky (Ensemble/Pony/Baby Spider); Lexi Probasco (Ensemble/Cow); Mia Salopek (Ensemble/Hen/Baby Spider); Kelsey Schuliger (Templeton); Ashley Schuliger (Lurvy); Maggie Wertz (Goose); and Alex Wettrich (Avery).

This is the third year the community theatre and parks department have teamed for an amphitheatre production following Alice: A Variation on Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland in 2017 and Robin Hood and the Secret of Sherwood in 2016.
