Reminder: Summer Cleanup Day June 30

Curtain Players has scheduled its annual summer cleanup day at the 5691 Harlem Road (Galena OH 43021) playhouse. Volunteers should be ready to go Saturday June 30 at 9 AM.

Work will continue into the late afternoon, and volunteers are welcome to come and go as they can. The theatre will arrange for a free pizza lunch.

The effort guarantees a fresh start for the 2018-19 season, the community theatre’s 56th.

To best plan for an efficient day, volunteers should register attendance with Booth Muller at tech.director@curtainplayers.org

According to Muller, the day's two main jobs are: emptying, straightening, and reloading the contents of the shed (including identification of flats that are so beat-up that it’s time for their official demise); and straightening up and organizing the tech booth area Muler says the theatre has containers available, to allow for diminishing the clutter in that space.

Muller says if there is a fantastic turnout, volunteers may possibly do some exterior painting, because the paint on the siding of the steeple area is beginning to flake and peel. He advises volunteers to wear old paint clothes if they might be up for that job.
