'Golden Pond' Set Build July 28
Posted: Monday, July 16, 2018, 10:56am
Technical Director Booth Muller invites volunteers to participate in the first Set Build Saturday of the 2018-19 production year. The work day is Saturday July 28 for Season 56’s opener, On Golden Pond.
Said Muller, “Since there’s no other show rehearsing or performing in the theatre, we can do the initial set build a bit further in advance than usual, and the personal schedules of set designer Tony Ludovico and director Michael Fusco make this the optimal date.”
Work is to begin at 9 AM and continue into the mid to late afternoon. Volunteers are welcome for all or part of the day. The theatre provides pizza for lunch.
“If you have a power drill or driver, bring it along because we’ll find a use for it,” Muller said. “If not, we’ll still find a use for you. No experience in set construction is required. C’mon out and join the fun!”
To best plan for an efficient work day, volunteers are asked to register by contacting Muller, at firstname.lastname@example.org Questions about Set Build Saturday may be directed to Muller at that address.
Curtain Players presents On Golden Pond September 7-8, 14-16 and 21-23. In Ernest Thompson’s popular family drama, an elderly couple enjoy their latest summer in a cottage on a Maine lake, as they come to terms with the husband’s advancing age and his ongoing estrangement from his newly engaged daughter.
Season subscriptions, flex passes, and all individual performance tickets for all Curtain Players Season 56 productions go on sale online Wednesday August 1.
