Curtain Players and its audiences generously supported Westerville Area Resource Ministry in a very big way… 360 pounds of non-perishable and personal care items – plus $87 in cash donations – were collected during the December 5-22 run of The Mousetrap. That is 65 percent more goods than collected in December 2018, and the highest overall take in recent years.

Curtain Players as part of its Curtain Connects outreach program for nearly a decade had conducted two food drives each season to benefit WARM. A spring campaign is scheduled during the run of Fireflies inMarch/April.

WARM was founded in 1972. In 2019, the agency’s pantry will have provided nearly 300,000 meals to more than 17,000 Westerville area residents. WARM’s Kids Lunch Club feeds 300 children daily each summer, and during the school year the agency provides meal backpacks to more than 300 children to make sure they are properly nourished on weekends.

All WARM’s nutrition programs are free.

Even a modest donation has impact, according to WARM. A donation of $50 provides 125 pantry meals, fills 16 backpacks with food, or feeds 12 hungry children on a summer’s day.
