Call for Directors!

Curtain Players has opened the application window for prospective directors interested in leading productions for the 2027-2028 season.

The deadline for applications is 11:59 PM, Sunday, October 25.

The online application can be accessed here; the online application also allows attaching a theatre resume and legally obtained digital copies of scripts.

James F. Petsche chairs the season selection committee, and is joined by Jamie Clemons, Michael Day, Kelsey Demel, Julie Emmert-Silvius, Bronwynn Hopton, Randy Lenhart, and Rainer Steinhoff.

You can download the Director Application Information document, which contains directions on applying; a Theatre and Resources document that will provide information on the technical resources available to you; a stage map; and a Production History in Excel format, which will provide a look into the types of shows we have produced.

Curtain Players is looking for directors who have either prior directing experience or theatre experiences such as technical/design positions, acting, or stage management that have prepared them for directing. Directors are paid a $250 honorarium for their work with the volunteer non-profit organization.

Exact production dates are not yet set, but Curtain Players customarily stages its shows in September, late October/early November, early December, February, March/April and May. Each production runs at least eight performances over three weekends.
